Our Mission
The Affordable Housing Conservancy exists to enhance the quality of life for individuals and families in our community through housing preservation, social justice, and neighborhood revitalization.
Our objectives are threefold: to conserve architecturally and historically significant properties through preservation, restoration, and adaptive reuse; to provide safe and comfortable housing that is accessible to low- and moderate-income people; and to promote various projects for housing-related social justice.
Per our bylaws, at least one-third of our governing body is composed of low-income residents or residents of low income neighborhoods or elected representatives of low income community organizations.
